The "Main Theme"[1], also known as the "Luigi's Mansion Theme",[2] is a musical theme composed for Luigi's Mansion by Kazumi Totaka.[3] It is a suspenseful piece played in A minor at a moderato tempo, and is usually associated with the Luigi's Mansion series and Luigi himself. An alternate arrangement of the "Main Theme" is also often associated with Professor E. Gadd.
Original[edit]
The "Main Theme" is first heard in Luigi's Mansion in the cutscene where Professor E. Gadd meets Luigi for the first time. The "Main Theme" is most often heard when Luigi is in a dark hallway of the mansion and not actively engaged in combat. He may hum along to the theme as it plays, sounding more distressed as his HP gets closer to zero. It is titled 「ルイージマンション」 (Ruīji Manshon, "Luigi's Mansion") in the Nintendo Sound Selection Vol.3: B-Side Music album.
