Chomp boxes[1] are artillery from Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They resemble Banzai Bill Cannons, but they are flat with the surrounding ground and release Chomps. Only one Chomp box appears in the first Super Mario Galaxy on a saucer-shaped planet in the Good Egg Galaxy during King Kaliente's Battle Fleet. It is covered in green camouflage and has two turrets: one that releases large Chomps, and one that releases slightly smaller ones. Three Bill Blasters are embedded into its top. Doghouse-like variants called little houses[2] appear in the Dreadnought Galaxy during Dreadnought's Colossal Cannons and release diminutive Mini Chomps.

Chomp boxes are more common in Super Mario Galaxy 2, most prominently in Chompworks Galaxy, where multiple appear on several different planets, each with a different exterior. It is implied that Chomps are created in this galaxy, though Chomps launched from Chomp boxes are always destroyed. Their trajectory brings them either off the sides of platforms or into an obstruction that shatters them. Chomp boxes are otherwise embedded into the walls of Rightside Down Galaxy and Flipsville Galaxy.

In Super Mario Maker, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Mario Maker 2, placing a Chain Chomp into a Bill Blaster makes it fire Unchained Chomps.
