Stone Buzzies are a variation of Buzzy Beetle that appear in Super Paper Mario.
Design
Stone Buzzies, as with standard Buzzy Beetles and their other variants in the first three Paper Mario games, resemble turtles, with yellow skin, beady black eyes, and two pairs of feet with a single claw on each. Stone Buzzies uniquely have a grey, rocky shell that, once broken, reveals that they wear a pair of blue boxers with red spots underneath.
History
Stone Buzzies make their first appearance in Downtown of Crag, where one appears in 3D, and they are found in abundance within the Gap of Crag. They move slowly and require three stomps to defeat. Each stomp increasingly cracks their shell, with the Buzzy also becoming increasingly stressed. Upon defeat, their shells break to reveal their body, this seemingly embarrassing the Buzzy, and they promptly disappear.
A more powerful version, the Dark Stone Buzzy, appears in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.
