New York Minute is a race course in Mario Kart Tour. It takes place in New York City, United States, and is set in nighttime. It made its debut in the city's namesake tour and the first tour overall, the New York Tour. The course has four routes, the most out of any course alongside Tokyo Blur, named New York Minute, New York Minute 2, New York Minute 3 and New York Minute 4, with the last three debuting in the 2019 Holiday Tour (referencing the Times Square New Year’s celebrations), 1st Anniversary Tour, and 2nd Anniversary Tour respectively. From versions 1.2.0 to 1.4.0, the first route was named New York Minute 1. A battle course version of the course named New York Minute B later debuted in the 2022 Autumn Tour. The inclusion of this course and the Los Angeles Laps courses makes the United States the only country to be represented by more than one city course.

New York Minute
In the standard layout, all of the racers start the course in front of Times Square, where many sponsors can be seen. Just after the starting line, the road bends in a slight curve to the right through Broadway and ends in a bridge that leads into Central Park. In the park, the road takes a sharp turn to the left and circles back under the bridge where the racers entered the park. After the bridge, the road continues straight until it turns sharply to the right back into the city, where a blocked out entrance to the Rockefeller Center and the building itself can be seen in front. There, the players turn left and pass the Empire State Building and St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan. After another turn to the right, the players are back at the starting line.
In Times Square, many billboards can be seen. There are ads for Galaxy Air, Banana Boy ("The Smash Hit Musical!"), Broadway Musical Entertainment, Donkey Kong ("The Best Musical!"), Burning DK, Barrel Travel, 1-UP Mushroom Car Insurance Group, Mario Work Gear, and Shy Guy Metals.
The course also appears as New York Minute R (reversed), New York Minute T (with ramps), and New York Minute R/T (reversed with ramps).
New York Minute has the longest gap in appearances between tours, having not reappeared since its debut in the game’s first tour, eighty-one tours prior to the 2022 Autumn Tour. Its normal variant also shares this distinction, having not reappeared since the former tour prior to the Night Tour.

In the standard layout, all of the racers start the course in front of Times Square. Just after the starting line, the road bends in a sinusoidal curve to the left and then the right through Broadway and ends in a cobblestone path that leads into Central Park. In the park, the road takes a sharp turn to the right and circles back to the bordering road, where it takes an abrupt left. After a sharp right turn, the players reach a Glide Ramp while approaching the Empire State Building. After two sharp right turns, the players return to the starting line.
The course also appears as New York Minute 2R (reversed), New York Minute 2T (with ramps), and New York Minute 2R/T (reversed with ramps).
New York Minute 2 is the first city course and course in general to have its N and T variants appear in a tour, but not its R variant. Its reverse variant also shares this distinction, having not reappeared since the former tour prior to the Night Tour.

In the standard variant, all of the racers start the course in front of Times Square. Just after the starting line, the road bends in a sinusoidal curve to the left and then the right through Broadway and ends in a cobblestone path that leads into Central Park. Players stay in a straighforward on the park path until it turns sharply to the right back into the city. There, the players pass the Rockefeller Center and enter 30 Rockefeller Plaza. After this, racers follow a tunnel where they can see the Statue of Liberty. After a light turn to the left, they exit the tunnel with the finish line just in front.
The course also appears as New York Minute 3R (reversed), New York Minute 3T (with ramps), and New York Minute 3R/T (reversed with ramps).

Similar to Tokyo Blur 4, the track visits every landmark and location found in the previous three iterations of the New York Minute course on a race divided by two sections instead of two laps. Due to this, it has a different starting grid layout. In the standard layout, the course starts out in front of Times Square. The player travels on the right side of the Y-joint on Broadway and takes a Dash Panel across some parked cargo trucks to a 270-degree loop around Central Park. After a sharp right turn, the player enters the Rockefeller Center and takes a right reverse curve through the tower's foyer before entering its parking lot. A gradual right turn follows, sending the player back to the front of Times Square for the second section. This time, the player follows the left side of the Y-joint, then takes a sharp right to the parked cargo trucks and taxis, which also features two dash panel ramp trucks (one with a Dash Panel and one with a Glide Ramp). After three more sharp rights towards and around the Rockefeller Center, the player reaches the finish line, finishing the race.
The course also appears as New York Minute 4R (reversed), New York Minute 4T (with ramps), and New York Minute 4R/T (reversed with ramps).

As this is a battle stage, there is no "route" to drive along. Instead, selected portions of the course are used, and players can drive on the selected portion in any way they desire. The parts of the course used only include Central Park, Times Square, and all areas in between. Additionally, the minimap of this course shows the shortcut near Central Park, which is not shown in the minimaps of the other routes. Like the other battle courses in the game, it uses SNES Battle Course 1's music from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe instead of retaining its original music.
New York Minute reappears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass downloadable content. It appears as the first course of the Turnip Cup, making it one of two courses from Mario Kart Tour to appear in the second wave, alongside Tour Sydney Sprint. The course has received significant visual upgrades compared to its original appearance; notably, the streets are now slick with water, and the traction on the course is slipperier as a result. The course features numerous more Toads, Yoshis, and Shy Guys than its Tour counterpart. Like Tour Tokyo Blur, this version of New York Minute dedicates each lap to one of the variants in Mario Kart Tour. However, like Tour Paris Promenade, it also has parts of each route available as split paths. There is a texturing error in the parking garage in this version of the course; the semi truck with the Burning DK logo on it erroneously overlaps the words "Sports" and "Energy". Additionally, despite the bridge in Central Park going over another part of the track, there are no shadows under that part on the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe minimap, though there are shadows where the parked taxis are, which takes place over the interior of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. It is currently one of two Mario Kart Tour city tracks not to rotate the minimap, the other being Tour Sydney Sprint.
The first lap is based on New York Minute, taking the right exit out of Times Square and then a 270° left turn through Central Park, which now contains two Goombas. This leads to the Rockefeller Center, through which the original path that heads straight toward 30 Rockefeller Plaza before taking an S-bend to the left is still available. However, there is now an additional option to make an S-bend earlier and end up on a road taken in New York Minute 2, the Glide Ramp of which is now only on the left half and leads to an Item Box on top of a bus, though there is also a set of traffic lights here that causes racers to spin out and fall to the ground if they collide with it while gliding. A manhole cover appears on the right side of the road here, occasionally spouting water that allows for a Jump Boost to be performed; the geyser is shorter than in Tour, however. Both paths converge and pass the Empire State Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan, and two stationary taxis on the way to the finish line (in a similar vain to New York Minute 4T, but in a different arrangement and without ramps).
The second lap is based on New York Minute 2, taking the left exit out of Times Square and turning through Central Park in the opposite direction to the first lap. An arrow field forces racers to turn left instead of re-entering Times Square, which leads them to the Rockefeller Center. Another manhole cover is positioned on the left side of the road here.
The third and final lap is based on New York Minute 3. Racers once again take the left exit from Times Square. However, on this lap, they drive straight past Central Park and are directed straight toward 30 Rockefeller Plaza with no split paths available. A U-turn through a parking garage where the Statue of Liberty is visible in the background leads racers to the finish line.
