They are mainly seen in the underground rooms in Riverside Station, and the Pit of 100 Trials at around floors 41-49. Since they have both wings and a spiked shell, they are tricky enemies. In Super Paper Mario, they also appear in several locations such as the Overthere Stair or Castle Bleck. They often fly up and down, trying to block Mario's path near a pit.
