Players have to outrace the [[Cheep Cheep]] by swimming as fast as possible until one of them reaches the end. Players also have to dodge the [[Floating Mine]]s on the way by swimming under them; if a player touches one, they are stunned for a moment. If a player gets eaten by the Cheep Cheep, they are out of the minigame. The first player to reach the end wins. In ''Mario Party 3'', if there are more players swimming when one of them reaches the end, all the remaining players will get eaten; however, in ''Mario Party Superstars'', if all four players reach the end, only the one who is farthest away from the finish line will be eaten by the Cheep Cheep. In both games, if all the players get eaten, the minigame ends in a draw.

Cheep Cheep Chase is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 3 and Mario Party Superstars.

Overview[edit]

In the opening, after the four players enter the water, a giant Cheep Cheep enters from a machine in the likeness of Bowser's face, later replaced by a large gate in Mario Party Superstars.

Players swim away from the giant Cheep Cheep as fast as they can while avoiding bombs along the way. Any player eaten by the Cheep Cheep is removed from the minigame. The first player to reach the end wins: In Mario Party 3, any other players remaining in such an event is eaten, but in Mario Party Superstars, only the farthest player is eaten, if all four players remain. If none of the characters make it to the end, it is a draw.
