The Dark Headbonk Goomba's Catch card is one of the only instances where text was changed between the North American and PAL region versions of the game. The NA version reads "''They look like Dark Goombas, but they bonk!''", but because "bonk" is a British slang term for sexual intercourse, the line was changed to "''They look like Dark Goombas, but they're not!''" in the PAL region. The other notable script change in ''Super Paper Mario'' was also due to the fact that an innocuous word in North America ("shag", referring to Luigi's moustache) had sexual connotations in the PAL region.

Dark Headbonk Goomba
Sprite of a Dark Goomba from Super Paper Mario.
Sprite from Super Paper Mario
First appearance Super Paper Mario (2007)
Variant of Headbonk Goomba

Dark Headbonk Goombas are stronger versions of Headbonk Goombas in the game Super Paper Mario. They look exactly like regular Dark Goombas, only they attack with Headbonks. They are only found in room 95 of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials, but they occur in large amounts in this room.

This is the last of the Dark enemies encountered in the pit, discounting Shadoo's four forms.

The Dark Headbonk Goomba's Catch Card is one of the only instances where text was changed between the North American and PAL region versions of the game. The NA version reads "They look like Dark Goombas, but they bonk!", but because "bonk" is a British slang term for sexual intercourse, the line was changed to "They look like Dark Goombas, but they're not!" in the PAL region.
