Spotlight Swim is a 1-vs-3 minigame found in Mario Party 3 and Mario Party Superstars.
Overview[edit]
The solo player swims around, avoiding the red, blue, and green spotlights shone by each team player. The CPU team players move their spotlights away when the player dives, regardless of difficulty setting. The solo player can go underwater to dodge the spotlight, though they resurface at times. In Mario Party Superstars, a siren sound plays whenever a spotlight is shone on the solo player. If the team players each shine a spotlight on the solo player, they win, but if the solo player avoids this until time runs out, they win.
Spotlight Swim is features as Stages 1 and 4 of the Trio Challenge in Mt. Minigames. Stage 1 involves human players against a Solo CPU player at Easy difficulty.
