==Introduction==
==Overview==
The minigame takes place in the skies, where the stone towers appear in the background, along with moving clouds at the bottom and bright rainbows. The sky is entirely made up of bricks painted blue from dark to bright. The player is prepared as they are hovering with the balloon attached to them. As the player prepares to use the bow, gusts of wind are heard, and then the minigame starts.

==Gameplay==
The player floats from a balloon in the sky, to the right of the balloons (later moved to the left in ''Mario Party Superstars''). They have ten seconds to shoot an arrow at one of the balloons, each moving up and down at different speeds. If the arrow pops a balloon, the player wins the contained item. If the player misses, the arrow bounces off of the stone tower on the opposite side and pops the player's balloon, and [[Koopa Kid|Baby Bowser]] (replaced by [[Bowser Jr.]] in ''Mario Party Superstars'') taunts the player from a window in one of the three stone towers. If time runs out, the arrow launches automatically, except every balloon disappears, though they can shoot additional arrows, to no effect.
The player's objective is to shoot one of the five balloons that contain items within the time limit of ten seconds. The row of balloons moves vertically at different speeds. The value of the item varies, with a powerful item usually behind the row of balloons and a common item usually in front of the player. If the player pops a balloon with their arrow, they will receive the item from the balloon the player popped.

However, if the arrow is shot and misses the whole row of balloons, the arrow bounces off the stone tower and pops the player's own balloon. [[Koopa Kid|Baby Bowser]] (in ''Mario Party 3'') or [[Bowser Jr.]] (in ''Superstars'') then appears in the window of one of the other stone towers and laughs at the player's loss (with a slight camera pan towards said stone tower). If time runs out, the balloons disappear and the arrow is automatically shot, with the same events described above playing out.
The second word of the minigame title is a play on "balloons." The minigame is untitled in ''Mario Party Superstars''.

In ''Mario Party Superstars'', the minigame is played from the reverse perspective, with the player on the left and the balloons on the right.

Bobbing Bow-loons is an Item minigame in Mario Party 3 and Mario Party Superstars.

Overview[edit]

Bobbing Bow-loons in Mario Party Superstars
Gameplay from Mario Party Superstars

The minigame opens with the player loading an arrow on to their bow.[1][2]

The player floats from a balloon in the sky, to the right of the balloons (later moved to the left in Mario Party Superstars). They have ten seconds to shoot an arrow at one of the balloons, each moving up and down at different speeds. If the arrow pops a balloon, the player wins the contained item. If the player misses, the arrow bounces off of the stone tower on the opposite side and pops the player's balloon, and Baby Bowser (replaced by Bowser Jr. in Mario Party Superstars) taunts the player from a window in one of the three stone towers. If time runs out, the arrow launches automatically, except every balloon disappears, though they can shoot additional arrows, to no effect.

The second word of the minigame title is a play on "balloons." The minigame is untitled in Mario Party Superstars.
