Spanglers[1] are enemies in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are dark gray-striped spiders with brown heads. Spanglers hang from ceilings and overhangs by a thread of silk. Spanglers swing back and forth on their threads to try to damage the player character. They can be defeated by jumping on them or spinning into them. They release a coin or three Star Bits, depending on how they are defeated.
