Flippers[1] appear in the Mario Kart series as obstacles in Waluigi Pinball, a course in Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart Tour, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They are located in the last area of the course. Like regular flippers on pinball machines, these flippers metal balls backward, but the main difference is that they produce some electric discharge when hit. Any racer who hits a flipper is knocked over.
