The Blitties are a species that appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. They are animate blocks that resemble cats, and their name is a portmanteau of "block" and "kitty". After meeting him in Dimble Wood, Broque Monsieur requests Bowser to locate & bring him these "rare creatures". They are trapped within enemies during battle, so Bowser must use his Vacuum command to obtain them as an item. There are 15 Blitties in all.

Although Chuboombas, Toothies, and Treevils can be fought prior to visiting Broque Monsieur's shop, their Blitties cannot be collected until after this point.

Blitties always appear when Bowser uses his Vacuum command on a specific enemy for the first time, and he must successfully inhale it to properly catch it. If Bowser fails to suck up the Blitty, the Blitty will flee from the battle and must be found again by using the Vacuum command in a different battle with the specific monster. This can be repeated until the player successfully catches the Blitty for that specific monster.

Once Bowser catches a Blitty, he can go to Broque's shop and leave it there. Bowser is rewarded special equipment for the fourth, eighth, and twelfth Blitty he gives to Broque, and the reward for finding all fifteen Blitties is the strongest Brawl Attack for Bowser, Broggy Bonker. If an EXCELLENT is scored with this attack, all the Blitties will follow Broggy and attack as well.

In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, Bowser has the option to attack enemies to cause them to drop the Blitty before inhaling it.
