Investigate the Abductions! is a side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. In this quest, Mario and Luigi must investigate Rumbla Island and save the residents from Snaptors.

Investigate the Abductions! becomes available after lighting the Lushgreen Sea, Great Lighthouse Island and expires upon visiting the Color-Full Sea, Great Lighthouse Island. Clearing the side quest awards a 1-Up DX.

Side quest[edit]

To begin the side quest, Mario and Luigi must travel to Rumbla Island and speak with a resident in the main town. They tell the brothers that the residents were all celebrating the return of Connectar to the island, but Snaptors started to snatch the residents and take them away. Several Snaptors arrive during the conversation and take away a few residents. One resident is surrounded by Snaptors, so the Bros. must save him by defeating three of them in battle.

After the battle, the victim thanks the brothers, while the initiator of the quests wonders where the Snaptors took the captured residents. Mario and Luigi receive their reward from the one they rescued, and the side quest is complete.

  • "The kidnappers were weird bird monsters! Kidnappings are still bad even when committed from the air though!"

    Rescue the abductee from the birds.    "

The following quotes are from the Gossips if they are spoken to while the side quest is available.

  • Yellow gossip: "Oh, sweeties, you know, I just can't stand it!"
  • Pink gossip: "What's wrong, dear?"

  • Pink gossip: "I saw one swoop down and snatch up someone at Rumbla Island."

  • Pink gossip: "They'll come for the three of us. I'm surprised they haven't yet..."
  • Blue gossip: "Me too! Look at us! We're TASTY!"
  • All three: "We are, aren't we? Ohohohoho!"
  • "I saw a strange bird fly off with somebody on Rumbla Island!"
