Warms You Inside and Out is a side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. In this quest, Mario and Luigi must help warm up a resident on Slippenglide Island who hates the cold.

Warms You Inside and Out becomes available after the first visit to Wayaway Island and expires after the second visit to Fortress Zokket. Clearing the side quest awards two Max Syrup Jars and an Ultra Nut.

Side quest

To start the side quest, Mario and Luigi must speak to a man located in a previously blocked path near the start of Slippenglide Island. Not noticing the Bros., he quietly aspires for a bonfire and Hottato Stew. After Mario speaks, the man fakes liking the cold but after realizing it is Mario and Luigi rather than a resident of the island, he tells them the truth about not liking the cold. The brothers walk away, but the man stops them and tells him how he was born on Slippenglide Island, but over time he realized that living in the cold is horrible. He requests the Bros. to make him a bonfire and to bring him Hottato Stew from Heatfreeze Island to bring him warmth.

Using the Fire & Ice Bros. Move, Mario and Luigi are able ignite the nearby firepit to create a bonfire. They are also able to obtain Hottato Stew from Boilin Village on Heatfreeze Island. After satisfying both conditions, the man thanks the brothers and gives them their rewards. He then has a monologue about how the world has many things and contrasts, and that he let slip a few foolish thoughts. After turning around, the man sees that no one is around. The side quest is then complete.

  • Pink gossip: "Oh, but I've heard someone from there...actually hates the cold. They're afraid of being found out, so they pretend they're OK with it."
  • Blue gossip: "How awful."
  • Yellow gossip: "Brrr... Now I feel even colder."
  • Pink gossip: "You're always cold! Why IS that?"
  • Yellow gossip: "I'm just a beach baby, I guess!"
  • Blue gossip: "It's been a LONG time since WE were beach babies!"
