Lighthouses are important structures present on almost every major islands in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Supposedly ancient structures that can connect the lands of Concordia, it is the main objective of the Mario Bros’ island expeditions. Upon reaching the lighthouse, the Bros. pull out the plug on top of it, allowing Snoutlet to guide it back to the lighthouse on Shipshape Island, connecting the island with its Uni-Tree to receive Connectar and power up again.
Uses
The lighthouse is equipped with an enormous lightbulb powered by Connectar, which illuminates the area around it, and causes Connectar Flowers to bloom. While not powered, the structure houses a large plug that, when pulled out, appears to have the ability to levitate and propel itself at high speed. The plug can then be plugged into an appropriate socket connected to a Uni-Tree, allowing it to receive Connectar and resume its use.
Additionally, through the cord-like trail of Connectar, the area around the lighthouse will then be bound physically to the socket, and be pulled by its motion, despite the cord’s intangible nature. Through the properties of Connectar, Warp Pipes can be established through this connection, allowing island residents to traverse through connected islands.
