Flowers[1][2] appear as Semisolid Platforms in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They appear suspended in the air, unmoving. They recede when Mario (or Luigi) makes contact with them, causing him to fall to the ground (or empty space) below. Like with clouds, he can stand on them only while in his Bee form. The flowers have lavender petals and look vaguely asteraceous.

The flowers appear only in levels that also feature the Bee Mushroom. In Super Mario Galaxy, they appear in Honeyhive Galaxy and Gold Leaf Galaxy. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, they appear in the Honeybloom Galaxy and Honeyhop Galaxy. Enemies exclusive to Super Mario Galaxy 2 called Trapdragons bare a superficial resemblance to these flowers.
