“Oh... I suppose she's gone forever... There was an utterly charming girl here recently. She was pink perfection. My heart swooned at the very sight of her. But she seems to be gone. Oh, how I long to meet her again!”
Man, Mario & Luigi: Brothership

A Vision in Pink is a side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. In this quest, Mario and Luigi must find the pink girl and reunite her with a resident on Merrygo Island.

A Vision in Pinks becomes available after linking Merrygo Island, and expires after linking both Skorcheen Island and Slippenglide Island. Clearing the side quest awards two Super Syrup Jars and two Super Nuts.

Side quest

To start the side quest, the Bros. must speak with a male resident on Merrygo Island, located near the lighthouse. He tells Mario and Luigi that he wants to meet the "pink girl" again, as he is in love with her. During the conversation, another resident informs the group that he saw her on a tiny isle with lots of rocks stacked up on it, which is Dinkee Islet. The brothers then set off to find the girl.

Upon reaching Dinkee Islet, they find that someone is on top of an extremely tall rock pile, recharging away from their fans and refusing to come down. Mario and Luigi then use their hammers to smash the rocks one-by-one, lowering the person to the ground. The character turns out to be Birdo, who is upset at the brothers for not respecting her wishes. After telling her that she is as fabulous as ever and that someone is awaiting her, Birdo eagerly asks the Bros. to take her to Merrygo Island.

Now back on Merrygo Island, the resident and Birdo reunite with each other. They both compliment each other while a crowd watches. The two then abruptly declare "it's over" before revealing that they were only acting and not actually in love. The two bid each other farewell before the resident thanks Mario and Luigi, giving them their rewards. The side quest is then cleared.
