Variant of Spike

Glohm Spikes are enemies in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. They are Spikes that have been inflicted with Glohm, and can be found on Slippenglide Island, Gulchrock Sea Great Lighthouse and Paquette Islet among others. They look identical to normal Spikes, except with shadowy Glohm effects and glowing red eyes.

Battle

In battle, Glohm Spikes use the same attacks as regular Spikes do. However, their stats are higher, they attack more quickly and they throw more Spike Balls than their standard counterparts. They also have the ability to inflict the Glohm status on a bro if they hit them, and can create a spiky shield to protect them from attacks.
