Template:Kart-infobox The Prancer is a kart in the Mario Kart series. It is a pumpkin-shaped vehicle with two mechanical white horses located at the front that move up and down while the kart is in motion, referencing the pumpkin coach from Cinderella. The emblem is located on the sides of the kart.
History
Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The Prancer debuts in Mario Kart 8 as an unlockable kart body. It grants drivers no change to the stats of the vehicle, similar to the Standard Kart, the Cat Cruiser, the Sneeker, The Duke, the Teddy Buggy and the 300 SL Roadster.
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the vehicle's stats have been altered, and it now shares its stats with the Sport Bike and the Jet Bike, which are inside-drifting bikes. CPU Peach and Cat Peach can be occasionally seen riding this kart body paired with Wood tires.
Mario Kart Tour
The Prancer reappears in Mario Kart Tour as a High-End kart first available in the Flower Tour. It is the signature kart of Daisy (Fairy). The kart is equipped with the Wood tires from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the horses at the front of the kart no longer move. The Prancer increases the duration of Slipstream boosts and the amount of points earned for performing them.
It is one of only two High-End spotlight karts in Mario Kart Tour that were neither a new variation of a past kart nor a new kart all together, with the other being the Offroader from Mario Kart Wii. It also has a variant called the Gilded Prancer, which debuted in the Ice Tour as a tour-exclusive High-End kart. This makes the Prancer one of three karts that were introduced after variants of them were; the others being the Cucumber, which was introduced after the Dasher II, and the Sushi Racer, which was introduced after the Pirate Sushi Racer.
The Prancer has only appeared in certain pipes and is not currently a part of the Daily Selects set. The table below shows the kart's availability by tour.
