The Parachute is a glider that appears in the Mario Kart series. It has stripes of several different colors.
History
Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The Parachute first appears in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It offers an acceleration stat boost but lowers the weight stat. It shares its stats with the Cloud Glider, Peach Parasol, Bowser Kite, Parafoil, MKTV Parafoil, and Hylian Kite. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a CPU Breath of the Wild-style Link uses this glider with the Flame Rider bike and Monster tires, while a CPU Lakitu uses it with the Biddybuggy.
Mario Kart Tour
The Parachute returns in Mario Kart Tour. It has been redesigned, this time featuring a rainbow-colored color scheme. It is classified as a Normal glider. While using this glider, the player receives more points than usual upon deploying a Blooper onto other drivers. The game introduces four variations of the glider: the Shell Parachute, Royal Parachute, Fireworks Parachute, and Bullet Bill Parachute.
