Template:Level Fort Francis is, as the name implies, Francis' fort. It serves as the setting of chapter 3-4 in the game Super Paper Mario. It was once a castle owned by the Tribe of the Ancients. This puzzle-filled place is full of tricks and surprises, though it is unknown whether the Tribe of Ancients or Francis built the traps. According to The InterNed, the music of Fort Francis goes by the same name: "Fort Francis".

Inside of the fort, it is seen that Francis has a love for cats, butterflies, and all things people consider "nerdy". The fort is also filled with references to the other Paper Mario games, and the Mario series in general. One of Francis' animes features Tubba Blubba and there are also several X-Naut related television shows and games, as well as a video game featuring Larry Koopa, called Larry Koopa: Zombie Heartbreaker. Some of Francis' posters have images of Lady Bow, Bootler and Petuni on them, and he owns several dolls of Petuni, Punio, Vivian, the Yoshi Kid in all colors, Peach, various items, Admiral Bobbery's bombs from his Bomb Squad attack, and Pennington from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He also wants an Excess Express train set, a Ms. Mowz doll with "real smooching action", a comic book called "Cyborg Wart", a Magnus von Grapple action figure, a Tanooki Suit made with real Tanooki fur, a remote-controlled Professor Frankly, and a DVD about Rawk Hawk.

Carrie first joins Mario's team here, after being freed from a cage that Francis had trapped her in. After finding two passwords (2323 in the right room and 2828 in the left room), the heroes enter both of Francis' private chambers and claim the two keys to open the Meowdoor. After Francis attempts to impress Peach in a dating simulator (an attempt that leaves his laptop smoldering), he is fought. Once defeated, Tippi is freed, and the Pure Heart appears. As Merlon explains later, the Pure Heart hidden there could only be found when an action of true friendship occurs.
