Policy on projects
I don't mind if you help participate in any my projects without contacting me first as long as you're not actively edit-sniping me as I write articles or add uploaded images to tables as I'm uploading them, because this creates edit conflicts and makes it even harder for me to save edits on articles I'm working on. However, it's generally still polite to ask first if it's ok to assist in my projects. The answer will be yes unless otherwise stated. I just don't want anyone edit-snipe police for me should someone else create articles out of red links that I was planning to create or create tables of items that I was about to create. Any help is very appreciated.

One thing you may or may have not noticed recently, is that I have been uploading many image/gifs from the PC/MS-DOS versions of Mario is Missing, Mario's Time Machine, and Mario's Early Years: Fun With Letters. Part of why I have been doing that is because all of the games I just mentioned, I own on CD-ROM. I play them on DOSBox, take screenshots of them, and then remove the backgrounds to rip the sprites. Are there any particular sprites from Mario is Missing, Mario's Time Machine, and Mario's Early Years: Fun With Letters that you would like ripped? Also, other than taking screenshots and then removing the backgrounds, is there any other way to rip sprites from those games?

I still have the CD-ROM that I first played the game off of all those years ago. It still works too, and is what I played the game on to screenshot the sprites. After I played Mario is Missing, I then moved on to the PC version of Mario's Early Years: Fun With Letters, and after that, I played Mario's Time Machine on PC before moving over to the mainline games. Here are some more sprites from the PC release of Mario's Early Years: Fun With Letters, and the PC version of Mario's Early Years: Preschool Fun, as well as the PC version of Mario's Time Machine. All of those Ludwig sprites were from the PC version of Mario's Time Machine. They were not used in-game, but they were a bitmap file on the CD-ROM called "MUSEUM/LUDW.BMP". I found them on accident while poking around on the CD-ROM, so I decided to make them into gifs.

Hi, I'm a Big Fan of Dr. Mario World and I see than we still miss a couples of Doctors Animations as GIF. Would you accept to help us too added the rest of the bunch, specially the winning animations that would be very nice to have to. Actually, when the only official name known (or in this case, properly cited) in a name in another language, per MarioWiki:Naming we always use an official non-English name over a conjectural name. While it would seem unlikely, I want to point out the character difference in question is the same that differentiates Goomba and Galoomba, and considering 3DW brought Galoombas themselves back (among other things), it is possible that they based the new enemy off an obscure thing from years before. Also, not only "just boulders," similar small-armed-Geodude-esque body stucture. Basically, I feel the similar name needs mentioned somewhere, at least in the Niol box. Patrollers are admins. I have access to the admin boards on the forums, the sysops gmail, and on the Discord. Well, what we've been doing so far is use the name from the Japanese Enyclopedia if there's nothing else readily available, though the rotating lift in question is actually the "Swing Lift"; if you look on page 69 of English Encyclopedia, you can see that they refer to the rotating lifts and rail lifts as swinging platform and rail platform, and the former groups the brown Single Swing Lift and grey Triple Swing Lift together (the latter should be Pulley Lift). Hello. Mario Sports Superstars has a gear appearance of a Fire Flower; they're basically purchasable aesthetic changes for equipment when you buy a card off the shop. They are also unlocked when you scan amiibo cards in. Mario is the one that uses a Fire Flower for his gear. It's also the icon for Flower Cup. The green Super KoopaMedia:SMW SuperKoopa Green.png sprite you uploaded is not the one used in the original Super Mario World. In that game, green Super Koopas have red capes. First of all, I want to give a big thank you to you and others for supporting my proposal, much appreciated. I saw you said you're up for cutting ties to ZW altogether, and this surprise me because you're a patroller (i.e. a staff member). Are you allowed to say that? I also want the interwikis changed, and I like how you said the proposal is a good start toward that (and it was brave of you to speak out about it), but a direct proposal on that... there would need to be some solid justification for doing that (though I think ZW on Fandom for 3 years is already a reason for that). Seeing as we're in NIWA, ZW would inevitably take priority.
Reminds of something slightly related: I have been working on various wikis over the past few years, some examples including Banjo, Conker, Crash, Spyro, Zelda, Final Fantasy, and so forth. Me and a few other editors, who I'm very grateful for all of their help. They're all part of a link exchange named Gaming Wiki Network. To me the examples I listed have comparable aspects to Mario in some way or another. I realized that all this time I was more concerned about Mario Wiki than NIWA (re: Zelda situation, that is). Of course, since I can't do anything about it, I decided to build up link exchange of wikis in the style of Mario Wiki, at least in some way or another (aside from the affiliates). It's ironic that Zelda Wiki was the original founder of NIWA (they went to Bulbapedia & then both went to Mario Wiki) yet they were the first to sell out & haven't made any plan in the past few years, even if they have ZD Wiki and Triforce Wiki as alternative options. A really big thing. Kirby is doing well on WiKirby, Star Fox is doing good on Lylat Wiki. The current biggest issue is Metroid, although I have barely played it and don't have much knowledge regarding it.
Nintendo (general), SSB, and Pokemon wikis in style of Mario Wiki (with a bit of classic 00s Wikia taste to reflect them being hosted on Miraheze) are three sideprojects that I've started very recently, and I've been keeping them separate from Gaming Wiki Network, as they're more personal endeavors (and Triforce Wiki being hosted by Grifkuba, although it was not met with much backlash afaik, still was a big move of them). Even if this is very uphill, I am very willing to play the long game and have long-term goals. I love wiki editing, and the Mario Wiki format has proven to work on several different wikis, and I'd like to see it in action on Nintendo, SSB, and Pokemon-style wikis.

Eh, I'm allowed to say any personal opinions, staff member or not, I don't think I should be castigated for expressing my views openly. I don't make it a secret either that I despise what ZeldaWiki does and I don't think anyone should be silenced simply because of that. However, I'd say it's how you express those opinions that matters, timing and wording is everything, so I think when I expressed my disdain towards the whole direction ZeldaWiki took, it was appropriate. I know that giant overhauls won't happen, hence why we wouldn't cut ties with ZeldaWiki any time soon, but small, gradual steps such as acknowledging the presence of other wikis is a good start in making sure ZeldaWiki becomes redundant AND a worse place for Zelda information so we naturally adapt to the fledgling wikis while removing the old. I don't think I can help out further than MarioWiki, however. I did lend small hand to Nookipedia and WiKirby but neither wiki kept my interest for that long, so I apologize if I can't help out Zelda, a series I'm even less knowledgeable and passionate about than these two. I was looking through the gallery for Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 and noticed that all the Mario characters have their mugshots ripped (including Robo Mario!) but none of the Bamco character mugshots are on the gallery. My proposal to split AGP1 Bowser's Castle and Bowser's Factory, as well as Castle Wall and AGPDX Bowser's Castle, has recently ended, and passed! But before I can begin splitting, I need the current versions of Bowser's Factory and AGPDX Bowser's Castle to be moved back to AGP1 Bowser's Castle and Castle Wall, respectively, since the articles originally started out as such, and I feel like the revision history of those original articles should be preserved (as opposed to being a mess that changed from one article to another, with the one article it begun as getting its own separate history). Problem is, as I explained here, with the moves to their current article names that happened in 2020, I cannot move the articles back to their original names myself; an admin needs to do it for me. You're an admin, and you voted on my proposal in support of it, hence why I went to you, to ask if you could move the pages back to their original names? I would appreciate that. I feel like Bowser's Castle (Mario Kart Arcade GP) needs to be moved back to Castle Wallfirst, since it's currently using the one name that Bowser's Factory needs to be moved back to. I can most certainly confirm red and green textures do exist, but they're virtually identical to Spear Guys (they're in the same file, heyho.bch.z, most Shy Guys in the game are contained in there with specific variants having their own animation files, and the only way you can tell they're intended for Dancing Spear Guys is that the model file itself is called yariyari_body01a rather than yariho_body01a). I think the wiki is also correct about the animations too, but what animations exactly are unused? Only way you can tell is if you watch them in-game and then watch the animation files (which are stored in heyho_yariyari.bch.z, contained of only animation files intended to be combined with heyho.bch.z). Our wiki also states "There are also unused textures for red and green Dancing Spear Guys that had different animations and were planned to appear, but were cut out.", which isn't very clear to me because the animation files don't point to specific Spear Guy colors. Well there are more animations such as Spear Guys shaking their butts and twirling around but I also recall that also being in the game (they have 20 animations in total). Hi, I'm of the understanding that the minimaps in MKW are actually models? If that is indeed the case, would it be possible to process the images of them to more resemble their in-game appearance in size and outline structure? Most of my worry about this working comes from the battle mode maps, since they tend to be colored and have icons all over them in gameplay, making the lesser lines on them not apparent. You are correct that they are models, they literally do look exactly like this. However, I think the outline and transparency structure is added as a post-effect that the game does (similar to how it tints the UI on the screen, which is grayscale) (also not sure about how the battle mode maps are tinted, might be the same I haven't attempted to do a battle course map), so I don't think it's possible to modify so it's exactly like the game. I know the game is heavy on post-processing, though the outline and transparency effects are simple enough they can probably be accurately added in gimp or paint.net. - though the overpasses worry me a bit, as do the weirdness with the battle mode ones. (On the note of MKW's odd graphical implementation, I know the car icons for the TT records are sprites, but how are the actual "vehicle select" icons with the different colors for each character handled? I have managed to alter the uploaded map images to look mostly as they do in-game for a consistent resolution, though I nixed the transparency (which can be easily added if needed, all except Galaxy Colosseum use 75-point transparency on a normal blend) and did not add the start/finish lines, though they too can be added if deemed necessary.
