- “This is where I'll be giving you useful hints and whatnot to help you on your way. So listen up!”
- —Snoutlet, Mario & Luigi: Brothership
This is a list of hints that appear on the loading screens in Mario & Luigi: Brothership, appearing after battles.
List of hints
- "You can tell if it's Mario or Luigi getting attacked by watching the bad guy's moves real carefully."
- "You ever want to look at the whole area map? If so, tilt
on the Main Menu!"
- "When the game's autosaving, there'll be a little twirly thing in the upper right."
- "If either bro. gets KO'd in battle, be sure to use an item to get him back up ASAP!"
- "Did you know that some blocks are practically invisible? You gotta look real close to spot 'em."
- "If you up your STACHE stat, you'll get more LUCKY results in battle."
- "You can equip one each of gloves and accessories, so choose wisely."
- "If you can't dodge, use an Emergency Guard. It'll at least reduce the damage taken."
- "Look, sometimes surviving is winning. Don't forget that you can run away from a battle with the Flee command."
- "If an enemy sneak attacks you from behind, you'll start the battle in an exposed position. Try not to do that."
- "If you ever forget the controls, just open up Settings & Guide, then Snoutlet School."
- "So it turns out that there are talking turnips. Who knew? Maybe they know something useful?"
- "Find any islets yet? You can check those out with a trip in the big cannon."
- "Look, a battle just goes better if you remember to set your Battle Plugs beforehand."
- "Watch out when the enemy is guarding—you might take some damage when you jump on 'em."
- "Watch your HP and BP gauges! Try to keep some recovery items on hand in case they get low."
- "If you don't know where to go, head toward the red mark on the map. Always trust a red mark."
- "Have you revisited any islands you already linked? There might be new stuff to see and do there!"
- "If you go fishing from Shipshape, you might catch something other than fish!"
- "You can't set a Battle Plug that's recharging. Keep fighting and wait until it's recharged."
- "Eavesdroppin's rude, but the ladies on Shipshape have really useful, important info, you know?"
- "Stuck? Can't go forward? Try using a Bros. Move."
- "When you get materials from enemies, bring 'em to the workshop and see if you can make new gear."
- "When you see weird-shaped reefs out at sea, let Issa Rock know. She's really into those."
- "The person who takes care of the Uni-Tree is called a Wattanist. Fancy!"
- "Some side quests have a time limit. Might want to put a rush on those, you know?"
- "You can use Beans to permanently increase Mario or Luigi's stats. Cool, eh?"
