Vancouver is the largest city in British Columbia, Canada, and the largest city on the west coast of the country as a whole.
Vancouver also appears on the Globulator, a world map in Mario is Missing!, but is not visitable in the game, even though Montreal and Toronto are locations in the Nintendo Entertainment System and Microsoft Disk Operating System versions, respectively.
History
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
Vancouver was the location of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and thus was also the main setting of the game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Many mountains are located near the city, which is where several Olympic events were held, both in the game and in real life.
Mario Kart Tour
Two courses based on Vancouver appear in Mario Kart Tour. The first course Vancouver Velocity, was introduced as the signature course of the Vancouver Tour. The second course Vancouver Velocity 2 later made its debut as the signature course in the Penguin Tour.
Several landmarks in Vancouver can be seen in the courses, which are the 2010 Winter Olympics cauldron, BC Place, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Lions Gate Bridge, Rogers Arena, Science World, Stanley Park and Vancouver Convention Centre.
