Dotted Line Blocks are objects found in Super Mario World and its sequel, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island as well as Yoshi's Island DS. Properly speaking, they are not real blocks but rather transparent objects. They come in four colors and turn into ! Blocks once the player hits the ! Switch in the Switch Palace of the corresponding color. Similar, transparent boxes appear in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS in place of cap boxes that have not yet been activated.
