Cluckbooms are chickens that lay eggs and will explode after a few seconds which appeared in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are orange and black in appearance and have the ability of flight. The eggs look similar to Bugaboom's bombs. They are very hard to defeat, because they are incredibly high in the air. A well aimed Star Bit can, however, make it fall down and the player can then give it a good whack. If there is a Tweester nearby, the player can try to aim at the chicken's head. They are only found in Dusty Dune Galaxy in the original game. Super Mario Galaxy 2 had them in Slipsand Galaxy.
