Merluvlee, Super Paper Mario

Spinning devices, also called turning devices, are intersecting clusters of flipping rectangles which transport the player character between level sections in Super Paper Mario. They are found along Mount Lineland, Yold Desert, Gloam Valley, and Underwhere Road, sometimes requiring the activation of certain ! Switches to appear. While in 2-D, standing inside the red or blue square allows the first spinning device to pick the player character up, passing them along to the next rectangle in the chain until they reach another colored square. The player character cannot move or be damaged while riding a spinning device.
