Afterward, the text becomes too messy to read, implying that Patriarc lost control of his handwriting in his panic.

First appearance Mario & Luigi: Brothership (2024)
Greater location Gulchrock Sea

The Gulchrock Sea, Great Lighthouse Island is the fourth and final Great Lighthouse Island visited in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is visited after retrieving the Pile of Ampberries on Wayaway Island, and lighting it up opens a current to Fortress Zokket's location. Unlike the other Great Lighthouse Islands, there is no boss nor basement.

History[edit]

Mario, Luigi, and Connie use the elevator inside to climb the Great Lighthouse, stopping on a few floors along the way. In the second floor, the Zok Troops attempt to use Glohm Spikes to defeat Mario and Luigi, then attempt to fight them themselves. The next floor contains documents left by Zokket, which contain notes about the rebirth of Reclusa and that Zokket plans to dispose of the Zok Troops and the Extension Corps once Reclusa is reborn. At the top of the Great Lighthouse, Connie uses her Bonding Can to restore light to the Great Lighthouse, and the trio spots Fortress Zokket in the distance emitting a Glohm cloud.

During Mario and Luigi's first visit to Fortress Zokket, the Great Lighthouse alongside the other three fire the Glohmatic Quad-Ray directly at Bowser on Zokket's orders, transforming him into Glohm Bowser. After Reclusa awakens, Cozette visits the Great Lighthouse Island during the side quest Cozette's Decision, and reveals to Mario and Luigi that this was where she discovered Reclusa's egg and became Zokket.

When Concordia gets restored, the wave of Connectar from the Uni-Tree dispels the Glohm energy from the Great Lighthouse.

Patriarc note[edit]

Patriarc left his last note here, to the northeast of the elevator. The note starts with a question whether Patriarc's son Arc would stop mattering to him as a result of getting infected by Glohm. The note then proceeds to question why Zokket wants to make the world lonely, but does comment on his habit of talking to the egg in his fortress, even joking on how Zokket enjoys parenting it. Afterward, Patriarc notices someone and becomes shocked:

If I got hit by this Glohm ray, would I stop caring about my son? I get that Zokket wants to make the world lonely, but I don't understand why. He sure likes talking to his egg though. Maybe even he enjoys "parenting" it.

...Wait. Who is that? No! It can't be!

Afterward, the text becomes too messy to read, implying that Patriarc lost control of his handwriting in his panic.
