Super Paper Mario Memory Match was an online advergame developed in Adobe Flash and published by Nintendo to promote Super Paper Mario, which was first released in 2007 for the Wii. It was playable on the Nintendo Arcade section of nintendo.com, which comprised many other web advergames published by Nintendo.[2] This concept is a simplified form of Forget Me Not from the Flipside Arcade.
Gameplay[edit]
The player faces against O'Chunks in a three-round competition involving eight, twelve, and sixteen cards respectively; the goal is to earn the most points from matching cards featuring various characters from Super Paper Mario. Each match gives either 100 or 250 points, depending on the character. Upon completion, the player is given the option to either visit the Super Paper Mario Site or play again. If the player matches any of the four heroes, Tippi, Merlon, Count Bleck, Dimentio, or Nastasia, that character will appear in the bottom left and be given a description when hovered over. Mimi, Merlee, and Bestovius can also show up, but do not appear in the bottom left when matched.
