("Degrees" → ° + I personally feel it's more convenient to think that single-Con players will understand that "Left stick" is the single Con's stick, instead of the possibility that players could think the right stick on dual-Con or Pro could also be used.)

Paths of Peril is a Battle minigame in Mario Party 4 and a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars.

Gameplay[edit]

The minigame involves characters walking along narrow paths over a large canyon. The player has to move quickly but carefully, so as not to fall into the canyon. If the player does fall into the canyon, a Klepto (in Mario Party 4) or a Lakitu (in The Top 100 and Superstars) brings them back on the path. At two points in the course, players have a choice of going left or right at a junction. One path leads to a short winding road, while the other leads to a maze of 90° turns. Both paths lead to the same place, but the paths that the players pick can be the deciding factor in their placement. The first character to reach the goal wins. If no one reaches the goal within 60 seconds, the minigame ends in a tie.
