Soar to Score is a Free-for-All minigame appearing in Mario Party 10 and Mario Party: The Top 100.
Introduction[edit]
In the Mario Party 10 version, the minigame starts with Blue Toad testing the spinning rope. Regardless of where he lands, he raises his arms and cheers when he lands. In Mario Party: The Top 100, Toad always lands on the left 60-point area.
Gameplay[edit]
The players start on a spinning rope, trying to see how many points they can get. Once the player lands on a colored area, they get the number of points shown on that area. The green area is worth zero points, the blue areas are worth 20, the yellow areas are worth 40, the orange areas are worth 60, the pink/magenta areas are worth 80, and the red area with a flower icon is worth 100. If a player does nothing during their turn, they will not get any points. After each player goes twice, the player with the most points wins.
In the original version, the spinning rope spins much faster than in the Top 100 version.
Player reactions[edit]
Each player reacts upon landing to their success or failure as follows:
- 0 points: groan in disappointment
- 20 points: their third-place animation from Mario Party 9 (except Luigi's and Peach's, which are taken from Mario Party: Island Tour) or an equivalent if they are Rosalina, Donkey Kong, Toadette, or Spike (Mario Party 10) / groan in disappointment (Mario Party: The Top 100)
- 40 points: a sigh of relief
- 60 points: waving to the camera
- 80 points: a quick celebration (Mario Party 10) / cheering (Mario Party: The Top 100)
- 100 points: cheering (Mario Party 10) / a quick celebration (Mario Party: The Top 100)
