Bath Bombs[1] appear as obstacles in the Squeaky Clean Sprint course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Kart Tour.
History[edit]
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
They are encountered in the bathtub section of the course, where they emit a rising cloud that pushes drivers upward, allowing them to perform a Jump Boost similarly to currents. The Bath Bombs themselves act as walls, slowing down drivers who run into them. Bath Bombs can be launched in the air by driving into them or by hitting them with a Spiny Shell or a Super Horn. Other items, such as Green Shells and Red Shells, either rebound or break on contact with a Bath Bomb and have no effect on the object.
Mario Kart Tour[edit]
In Mario Kart Tour, Bath Bombs are additionally found in Squeaky Clean Sprint R. They generally act the same as in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, with a few differences in how drivers can interact with them; this time, Bath Bombs cannot be taken out if simply bumped into, instead requiring drivers to boost into it with a Mushroom or ram into it while under the effects of a Mega Mushroom or a Bullet Bill. They can also be taken out by hitting them with a Bowser's Shell, Super Horn, Giga Bob-omb, or Super Bell. Drivers are awarded bonus points if they take out a Bath Bomb.
