In Mario Party, two big Lava Bubbles are seen in the minigame Hot Rope Jump. They stand fixed at the ends of a jump rope formed by smaller Lava Bubbles, spinning it around the characters. As the minigame returns in Mario Party 2, the big Lava Bubbles reappear with the same role, as well as in the Mario Party 2 iteration of the minigame in Mario Party Superstars.

They behave identically to their smaller counterparts, jumping repeatedly out of the lava at the height they are placed. They can likewise be loaded into Warp Pipes and Bill Blasters, but emerge from them with more difficulty than normal Lava Bubbles.
