- “An energy called Connectar flowed from it to everywhere in the land... That Connectar kept everything going and let us live happy lives.”
- —Connie, Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Connectar is the primary energy source of Concordia that appears in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Connectar is made within and emitted by the Uni-Tree. It then flows through Connectar Plugs attached to the Uni-Tree before reaching each area's lighthouse, where it's transmitted and provides power to the people living there. In Mario & Luigi: Brothership, when Mario, Luigi and Snoutlet perform an island link, Connectar flows from Shipshape Island's Uni-Tree to an island's lighthouse once again, causing Connectar Flowers to bloom. It is suggested in Dr. Vulko's note "Connectar: Limitless Power" that Bonds of family, friendship and love also produce Connectar. Connectar provides energy to the Connectar fairies, Sprite Bulbs. When they are deprived of Connectar, they become Spite Bulbs.
Naming
"Connectar" is a portmanteau of "connect" and "nectar".
