Spikelies are enemies that appear in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Their name is a pun on "spiky." They are a blue variant of the Thorb from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and are found in the Lushgreen Sea Great Lighthouse Island, though they can also be brought into battle in other areas by a Snaptor. If a Snaptor picks up a Spikely, it bounces above a bro., requiring them to not jump, and may join the battle afterwards. Larger variants are found on Merrygo Island.

In the field, Spikelies generally prowl their territory with nothing to grab their attention, but will charge at Mario and Luigi upon noticing them.

In battle, Spikelies cannot be stomped due to their spiky heads, although as a trade-off, this makes the Anti-Spike Specialist Battle Plug and Blunt Hammer their weaknesses. One of the creature's attacks has them spiral into Mario and Luigi in a clockwise pattern once, who must jump over them when they get near them in order to avoid taking damage. Likewise, they can also not only run around a Bro. and charge at them from behind, but also jump on them with their spikes. The targeted Bro. must hammer the Spikely when it gets within range to counterattack without taking damage.

Gobblick and its Glohmy form, Glohm Gobblick, can also spew Spikelies at the Mario Bros. These Spikelies must be avoided by jumping over them (or staying on the ground if the Spikely bounces overhead) to avoid taking damage.

Upon initiating the Glohm Gobblick side quest, Spikelies become infected with Glohm, becoming Glohm Spikelies.
