Spranglers are dark purple-striped spiders that first appear in Super Mario Galaxy. They hang from ceilings and overhangs by a thread of webbing and appear mostly in the Ghostly Galaxy, Sea Slide Galaxy, and Bowser Jr.'s Airship Armada. Spranglers swing back and forth on their threads like a pendulum in an attempt to damage the player. They can be defeated by jumping on them or with two Spins. They release a Coin or three Star Bits, depending on how they are defeated. | Spranglers are dark purple-striped spiders that first appear in Super Mario Galaxy.
