History[edit]

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3[edit]

Car Yoshi appears only in Lakitu's Wall in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake. His main abilities are faster travel and accessing tight spaces. Car Yoshi also has wheels that can be stretched briefly by pressing B Button, not only for avoiding enemies but also to access higher platforms, in addition to traveling up the wall if the action is done repeatedly. Car Yoshi is also in the Secret Stage Go! Go! Morphing!.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

A sticker of Car Yoshi appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it can be equipped to Yoshi in The Subspace Emissary to enhance his tail attack power by 7 points.

An early version of the Vehicle, from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
The early eye shading
  • Car Yoshi is depicted light blue in the artwork, despite Light Blue Yoshi never turning into Car form.
  • Unused tiles depict the Vehicle form with more heavily-shaded eyes than the final ones, which lack shading on the eyes entirely (except when the wheels are outstretched).
