Offandon Island is a part of Concordia in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. After the destruction of the original Uni-Tree, it is found adrift in Gulchrock Sea, and is the thirteenth island to be linked to Shipshape Island. Its name is derived from the phrase "off and on". When the Great Conductor created a vortex to summon Mario and Luigi from the Mushroom Kingdom to save Concordia, Bowser and his minions were inadvertently brought to Concordia with them. They proceeded to take control of much of Gulchrock Sea, including Offandon Island. Since Offandon was a poor region even before Concordia split apart, and Bowser brought nourishment to its citizens, they grew to support the Koopa King. Mario and Luigi are treated as outlaws on the island due to Bowser spreading propaganda about them.

History[edit]

Mario, Luigi, and Snoutlet wash up on Offandon after Bowser attacks Shipshape Island, sending them overboard. They quickly discover that the island is under Bowser's control, and the citizens of Offandon have been poisoned against the Mario Bros. As a result, they are unable to enter the main plaza and must quickly reach the lighthouse to link the island before they are captured. They meet a child named Buddy, who is the only person on the island who supports them. However, he also befriended Bowser Jr., and their friendship becomes unstable when Jr. finds out he likes the Mario Bros. Later, Mario and Luigi return to Offandon wearing disguises so they can gather information about Wayaway Island and learn how to reach it. However, when they are offered Wayaway Soda, Luigi takes off his mask to drink it, giving them away. Bowser's minions gang up on the brothers and throw them in jail. They are rescued by Buddy, who brings them the Jail Cell Key, allowing them to escape.

Once Reclusa takes over, the Offandon citizens are no longer hostile toward the Mario Bros., so they no longer have to wear disguises in the plaza. They return to Offandon to collect the Bond of Buddy and Bowser Jr. in their quest to fill up Connie's Bonding Can so they can break into the Soli-Tree. Buddy enlists the brothers' help after Bowser Jr. is attacked by his own Glohm-infected subordinates. Once the Glohmed minions are taken out, Bowser Jr. starts a brief argument with Buddy over him getting Mario and Luigi involved, but they make up, and the brothers are able to collect their Bond.

Enemies[edit]

After Reclusa awakens, the enemies are replaced with Glohm versions of themselves.
