Effect Grants immunity to damage, aside from obstacles and enemies that cause instant death.

The Invincibility Egg is an item found only in Yoshi's Woolly World and its Nintendo 3DS port. It is a Yoshi's Egg with wings that appears at the start of courses if the player is in Mellow Mode and Yoshi has been defeated five times. Once picked up by a Yoshi, and not a yarn ball, Yoshi becomes immune to damage from enemies, signified by Yoshi glowing multiple colors. In Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, a thrown Poochy Pup can collect the Invincibility Egg. In either case, the egg pops open as a signifies. It is similar to the Invincibility Leaf. However, the player is not penalized in any way for using an Invincibility Egg, and it can appear in courses that have already been completed.

While Yoshi can no longer take damage, touching enemies and attacks still knocks him back and while stunning him for that animation. Unlike most kinds of invincibility power-ups in the Super Mario franchise, Yoshi cannot defeat foes instantly by touching them. There is also no immunity to being instantly defeated by spikes, lava, being crushed, bottomless pits, and touching Naval Piranha in Naval Piranha 2: Now It's Personal!. The Power Badges that blocks fire and lava or the Power Badge that bounces Yoshi out of bottomless pits stack with the Invincibility Egg, covering some of the gaps of the latter power up.
