Slim (tire)
Template:Articleabout Template:Kart-infobox The Slim tires are a set of unlockable tires in Mario Kart 7. They offer the same pros and cons as the Roller tires, but in a less extreme manner.
The Slim tires return in Mario Kart 8. They look slightly different from their appearance in Mario Kart 7, and are available right from the start. Their stat distribution is also different from Mario Kart 7 in that they boost speed and handling, at the expense of some acceleration and traction. There is a variant of the Slim tires called the Crimson Slim tires, that also appear in Mario Kart 8. They share stats with the Crimson Slim and the Triforce Tires that come with The Legend Of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 DLC pack.
CPU players tend to only use these tires whenever they're using the Standard Bike. However, a CPU-controlled Luigi will also use these tires alongside the Mach 8 kart body. Likewise, a CPU-controlled Mario will use these tires whenever he's using the Comet bike body.
