Boomer (Super Paper Mario)

Boomer is the third of many different Pixls that Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Luigi discover in Super Paper Mario. His special ability is to turn into a bomb that explodes. This will open up areas that were once closed off. The 1 Button on the Wii Remote used to set and then detonate the bomb. Eventually, Boomer will also blow up on his own. Boomer is also able to defeat enemies from a distance.

Before joining Mario's party, he asks the following questions. No matter how they are answered, they are virtually the same, just with different emphasis:

1. You stay up wonderin' if anyone ever gives presents TO Santa Claus.
2. For some reason, you clean your room before a test.
3. When someone says, "Let's just be friends," you think, "Yeah, whatever."
4. You don't really understand why I'm askin' you all these questions.
5. You think shoppin' online is a wonderful and magical experience.
6. You once put on a shirt inside out but didn't bother reversin' it before goin' out.
7. You wanna be sleepin' when you're awake, but when you're tired, you wanna wake up.
8. You're gettin' real tired of these questions.

In Chapter 3-4 with an encounter of Francis flirting with Peach under a website, Peach blows up Francis' laptop by using Boomer.

Trivia

• Being an eyed bomb-like creature, Boomer bears a great resemblance to the Bob-omb
  • Ironically, Bob-ombs did not make a single appearance in Super Paper Mario, with the exception of Bombette and Bobbery, who had only mere cameo appearances.
• Boomer has the same ability as Bombette from Paper Mario, and Bobbery from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
• Boomer gets his name from the word "boom", an onomatopoeia for an explosion.
• Boomer's name, along with Slim's, was announced at GDC 2007.
