Moto Yoshi, the name being a shortened form of "motorcycle", is one of the Transformation Door transformations in Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, appearing in the levels Clawdaddy Beach and Fluffy Snow, Here We Go!. In this form, player 1 has red wheel caps and pivots, and player 2 has blue ones.
In this form, Yoshi can move extremely quickly, though changing direction is slow. Once Moto Yoshi starts moving, he is unable to stop. The player moves slower if is not held. Moto Yoshi plows through enemies it touches no matter how fast it is moving. Similarly, Moto Yoshi destroys obstacles it drives into, such as Ice Blocks. The player can use
to jump. If Moto Yoshi drives onto curved surfaces, his speed allows him to drive up and down walls and across ceilings. Long instances of these surfaces force Yoshi to move at his higher speed and do not allow him to turn around. This mechanic may have been implemented to prevent confusion how a Yoshi should control when it is inverted. When this ability is applied to rounded objects, Yoshi can drive all around them. Some, but not all walls allow Yoshi to drive into then immediately snap to driving upward.
If the player presses , Yoshi sounds the horn. This sends out a shockwave in a circle around Yoshi that can destroy obstacles like Ice Blocks. However, it only wakes up and scares away enemies rather than damaging them. Using the horn is completely optional and not instructed by the game in any way.
