The Brother Groove is a minigame featured in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is played several times throughout the game whenever Mario and Luigi meet Dyode and Emmit, and it last longer each time it is played. The player uses the A Button, B Button, X Button, and Y Button buttons to have Mario and Luigi perform dance moves. Each time this minigame is played, the player must successfully hit all buttons, although if this is failed at least twice, the difficulty can be lowered to allow a few misses.

Instances[edit]

Twistee Island first visit[edit]

Mario and Luigi give Dyode hair wax, then dance with him to raise the Twisteen Sprout.

Heatfreeze Island[edit]

During Burnadette and Chilliam's wedding, Dyode has Mario and Luigi perform with him near the end.

Twistee Island second visit[edit]

Mario and Luigi rescue Dyode and Emmit from Glohm infected monsters, then dance with him to once again raise the Twisteen Sprout.

Jellyfish Island[edit]

As Dyode is the owner of Club Dyode, he gives Mario and Luigi tickets to enter the club if they dance with him on a stage outside.

World tour[edit]

While Mario and Luigi are gathering Bonds to enter the Soli-Tree, they first dance with Dyode on Twistee Island, then atop the central lookout tower on Merrygo Island, and finally on the stage on Jellyfish Island as a groove-off. After the last performance, Mario and Luigi collect Dyode and Emmit's Bond.
