Chert is a Cragnon appearing in Super Paper Mario, residing in Downtown of Crag. He, Skarn, and Marbald tell Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, and Tippi of the Floro Sapiens attacking their village and kidnapping Cragnons.
Oddly, it is Jasperoid, not Chert, who brings the heroes to Downtown of Crag, yet it is Chert who appears in the cutscene with Marbald.
