Mario Party Superstars:

Trap Ease Artist is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 6, Mario Party: The Top 100, and Mario Party Superstars. Its name is a pun on "trapeze artist."

The Miracle Book page "Golden Goomba" is based on this minigame. Wario and Waluigi are shown playing. Activating the page shows that Wario caught the titular Golden Goomba, and Waluigi caught Toadette instead.

In Party Mode in Mario Party 6, this minigame is one of four minigames exclusive to daytime, the others being the Donkey Kong minigames.

Introduction

The introduction shows the first player dropping a red cage in a failed attempt to trap four Goombas (one of them a Golden Goomba), thus showing how the minigame works.

Gameplay

The objective of the game is for each player to trap as many Goombas as they can with their cage. When many Goombas are under the cage's shadow, the player must press A Button to drop the cage, trapping the Goombas. The Goombas walk in random directions, and there is no way to determine when they will walk under a cage's shadow or how many will. Regular Goombas are worth one point, and Golden Goombas are worth three points. If the player does not drop the cage before the time limit expires, it will drop automatically. After all of the cages have been dropped, the Goombas are released from them for the point tallying, and the player(s) with the most points win(s).

In the PAL version of Mario Party 6, Trap Ease Artist does not appear in Endurance Alley.

Ending

As soon as all players have dropped the cages, the remaining Goombas run away. The cages then open, and the Goombas inside leave them as the players' tallies increase. Afterwards, winners do winning poses while losers do losing poses.
