Cherbils are floating enemies found in Super Paper Mario. They are one of the more common enemy species in the game, appearing in various locations such as Yold Desert, the Gap of Crag or the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials in room 6. They have the ability to put the player to sleep by spewing pink gas at them.
Cherbils and their cousins seem to be named for cherries, which they vaguely resemble, and possibly gerbil, a small rodent.

Trivia
- O'Chunks mentions Cherbils when he wants to get Count Bleck to get him to fight Mario. He alludes to their bottom-like appearance by saying he'll "Spank (Clobber in the British English version) 'em like naughty little Cherbils". Tippi's tattle on the Cherbils also supports this claim.
