Mario Kart 7
The Slim tires offer the same pros and cons as the Roller tires, but in a less extreme manner.
Mario Kart 8
The Slim tires return in Mario Kart 8, where they look slightly different from their appearance in Mario Kart 7, and are available right from the start. Their stat distribution is also different from Mario Kart 7 in that they boost speed and handling, at the expense of some acceleration and traction. There is a variant of the Slim tires called the Crimson Slim tires, that also appear in Mario Kart 8.
