Peanut Popgun
The Peanut Popguns are an item in Donkey Kong 64. Diddy Kong can buy them from Funky Kong. Their appearance is that of two small pistols made of wood, appearing to be hollowed out logs. They are used, among other things, to shoot enemies, Peanut Switches, and Banana Balloons. In the level Fungi Forest, homing ammo can be acquired for the popguns. He also can use these guns while using his jetpack.
The Peanut Popgun appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as an attack for Diddy Kong. It is Diddy Kong's standard special move, and can be charged up. When charged up, the peanuts fired are much faster, and will have a better chance at hitting the opponents. However, charging it up too long is dangerous, as it might explode on Diddy Kong. The attack occasionally releases Peanuts, which can be eaten for a slight health increase. Diddy Kong also uses two Peanut Popguns when using his Final Smash, the Rocketbarrel Barrage. If Diddy Kong's powers are copied by Kirby, he will also be able to use Peanut Popgun.
The Peanut Popgun reappears in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. Diddy Kong can also shoot peanuts at enemies. When he shoots the enemy, it will get stunned.

- In beta screenshots of Donkey Kong 64, the Peanut Popguns originally looked like real guns. This was most likely changed for the E-rating.
