Gary is a rather ordinary Goomba and a member of Bowser's legion of minions, the Koopa Troop. In Super Paper Mario, Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to Princess Peach and later, to Count Bleck's castle. In accompany with an unnamed Goomba, Gary eventually finds Luigi laying unconscious. Having convinced Luigi to act as their bodyguard, they continue to venture through the castle. Eventually, they find a dead end, and they are caught by Natasia. Eventually, Natasia hypnotise and brainwashe Gary into serving Count Bleck. He then helps holding down Luigi for Natasia so she can hypnotise and brainwash him into serving Count Bleck as well.
