- “That is my DEAR metal brother. He and I share a spiritual bond, you know.”
- —Mr. L, Super Paper Mario
Brobot is Mr. L's colossal robot in Super Paper Mario. His name is a portmanteau of "bro" (a slang for "brother") and "robot", and he was created in the image of Luigi's head. After Mr. L loses to Mario and his team in combat, he summons his giant robotic "brother" and fights Mario's team in a battle oddly similar to scrolling space shooters such as Gradius. Once he loses, Mr. L vows to face Mario again. He has kept his promise, for he comes back in Chapter 6-1, after Sammer's Kingdom gets destroyed by The Void. His new improved Brobot L-Type has arms and legs this time and is much powerful and able to swallow Mario and fire rocket punches at him. However, Mario uses Boomer to destroy Brobot.
Combat
In battle, Brobot fires homing missiles and straight shots at the party. The missiles can be destroyed by shooting them. Occasionally he uses a laser attack that projects from his eyeballs, but this can be dodged by flipping. He can open his mechanical mouth wide and inhale to try and suck Mario in, then chomps on him. During the battle, Choco-bars will float by. The player can get them and use them in his or her advantage. There are five different colors, and each color has a different effect. Red ones will increase the player's Attack power by 1, yellow ones will make the player faster, green ones will allow the player to shoot missiles for a short time, blue ones will create a barrier that will nullify all of Brobot's damage and purple ones will have the player shoot two Squirps rays at once.
Brobot L-type has very similar maneuvers, as well as the abilities of stomping and grabbing. If the player places Boomer in range of his inhale attack, the Pixl would be sucked inside and explode, doing a hefty amount of damage.

Trivia
- Besides Shadoo, Brobot is the boss with the most HP in the game, even more than the final boss Super Dimentio. Surprisingly, he has more HP than his improved form. However, Squirps' laser does damage very quickly, counteracting the high HP.
- Its health amount may be a reference to the data storage abilities of classic consoles: a maximum of 255.
- The Brobot is the Magnus von Grapple of Super Paper Mario. Magnus von Grapple has an evolved form, and Brobot has one too.
- The Brobot resembles a giant metal Luigi head. This is likely because Mr. L is a hypnotyzed Luigi.
